2. Corticolous Lichens Inhabiting on Sacred Trees in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh, India Hem Chander, Pooja Kumari, Sapna Devi and Sunaina During present investigation a total of 66 specimens of lichen were collected from three localities (Berthin, Shahtalai and Jamli) of district Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. A total 12 species (Physcia dubia, Physcia crispa, Physcia integrata, Physcia sorediosa, Physcia jackii, Chrysothrix candelaris, Chrysothrix chlorina, Parmotrema andinum, Parmotrema mesotropum, Phaeophyscia hispidula, Lecanora chlarotera and Caloplaca spp. of lichens were identified after morphological and anatomical investigation. 3. Pharmacognostic and Phytochemistry of Centipeda minima: A Review Gulshan Kumar and Hem Chander Centipeda minima is used as ethno-medicinal plant for treatment of various ailments. The present study was aimed to explore its pharmacognostic, fluorescence and Bio-chemical screening. The physical values like total ash, acid insoluble ash, water-soluble ash, alcohol soluble extractive and water-soluble extractives were determined. Air-dried powdered material has been subjected to qualitative and quantitative physicochemical estimations. The pharmacognostic evaluation total ash and quantitative analysis of leaves has revealed the presence of flavonoids, tannins, phenolic compounds, alkaloids, glycosides, fats and carbohydrates. Its decoction is mostly used in paralysis and pain in the joints, and also against malaria, hepatitis, diabetes mellitus, eczema, insect or snake bites, and opium poisoning in lower shivallik hills of Himachal Pradesh.Click Here To Read More 19-25 DOWNLOAD PDF

Phytoremediation of Banana Leaf – Functionalization of Mercaptan-Cellulose and its Utilization for the Removal of Heavy Metals in Aqueous Environment Vishal Priya, Pankaj Shrama and Avichal Kumar Biomass being renewable, cost effective and abundantly available is an attractive feedstock for many competent industrial materials. The most important component in biopolymer class is polysaccharides, an almost inexhaustible polymeric raw material with fascinating structure and properties. However, due to the structural limitations, the metal uptake capacities of these materials of otherwise obvious choice for alternate material, is low and different polymer analogous reactions are needed to affect chemical modification of these materials. In the present isolation of cellulose from banana leaf aim to utilise the waste biomass for the removal of heavy metals in aqueous system. 6. PBarrier Height Calculation of Ag/n-ZnO/p-Si/Al Heterojunction Diode Rajender Kumar, Jyotsna and Avneesh Kumar The Ag/n-ZnO/p-Si(100)/Al heterojunction diodes are fabricated by pulsed laser deposition of ZnO thin films are on p-Si. High purity vacuum evaporated silver and aluminum metals were used to make contacts to the n-ZnO and p-Si, respectively. The current–voltage characteristics of Ag/n-ZnO/p-Si(100)/Al structure measured over the temperature range 80-300K have been studied on the basis of thermionic emission diffusion mechanism.
